Evansville, IN: March 9, 2018 - Clinic and Concert

With no conference performances this year, Cardinal needed a bigger concert sometime in the spring as a preemptive motivation to get a bunch of rep under our belts and memorized.  Andrew found a group of high school choirs looking for a clinic to, I think, help with an upcoming competition so we paired those two needs together and made a day of it.

Evansville is about 2 hours from Louisville, and isn't a hotspot of any sort, but was central enough to the high schools that wanted to participate that it worked out.  We got to the clinic mid-morning:

And Cardinal did a group warmup and an informal short concert for the students.  Then, the high school groups performed, with Dr. Hatteberg giving the clinic and the rest of us just watching along from the audience:

After that, we got lunch at BWW and made our way to the church where we'd be performing that night:

The people at the church then fed us a dinner in the little holding area in the adjacent building where we then waited for the concert to begin:

Gave the performance, which included my newly minted Shall We Gather At The River arrangement, then jumped in the vans and headed home.
